Roto revealed the next phase of virtual reality entertainment with the Roto VR Explorer, a next-generation VR gaming chair made in partnership with Meta.
The Roto VR creates an unparalleled immersive experience with Meta Quest headsets with its patented “Look & Turn” technology which transforms the seated 360-degree experience with its powerful motorized base and full-body haptics.
It will be the first ever VR chair under the “Made for Meta” program and is open for pre-orders starting today at $799.
“Meta has transformed how we experience virtual reality in recent years, especially so with the standout Quest 3. With the Roto VR Explorer, we’ve been able to amplify that immersion to a whole new level,” said Elliott Myers, CEO of Roto, in a statement. “VR is more than just visuals – it’s about being able to go and explore places and feel like you’re really there. Roto not only solves the challenges of exploring virtual worlds whilst seated, it also offers another layer of immersion with haptic feedback. Roto with Quest offers gamers the most fantastical adventures from the comfort of their home.”

Roto VR’s proprietary Look & Turn technology intuitively rotates users to where they look, solving the problems of 360-degree viewing, locomotion and motion sickness, the company said.
It has a built-in rumble pack that provides haptic feedback through the whole body, adding tangible immersion. Developed for Meta Quest headsets and compatible with all seated VR experiences, the helmet is fully compatible with over 400+ games and apps available from the Meta Quest store.
It has a high quality leather seat with back supports, adjustable seat height and a footrest for 360-degree comfort. It has a cable management solution and smart charging. It’s modular in design and supports a range of accessories, adding functionality for different types of game set-ups (sold separately).
Roto VR is based in London and was started by Myers in 2015.
