Puka Nacua ejected from Rams vs. Seahawks for throwing punch

Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua was ejected from Sunday afternoon’s contest against the Seahawks for throwing a punch late in the second quarter.

Even though it wasn’t the most aggressive punch we’ve ever seen on a football field, it still warranted ejection for the Rams’ second-year star.

Nacua was shoved hard by Seahawks linebacker Tyrel Dodson, and he retaliated with a punch. It wasn’t the hardest punch, but the refs aren’t going to let a swing like that go unpunished, hence the ejection.

In addition to his ejection on Sunday, Nacua has already missed plenty of time this season due to injury. He was listed by the Rams as questionable heading into the matchup against Seattle with a knee injury, but did start. When he was ejected, he had one catch on four targets for 11 yards.

Nacua burst onto the scene in his rookie season last year with 105 catches for 1,485 yards and six touchdowns. So far in 2024, he has 11 catches for 149 yards and 0 touchdowns.

There’s a lot riding on this game for both teams as the NFC West is currently a tossup. The Cardinals, Seahawks and Niners entered Week 9 with 4-4 records, and the Rams can get their record up to 4-4 and stay competitive within the division with a win over Seattle Sunday.

We will update this post as more information becomes available.
