NFL Schedule Release 2025: Christmas games include Lions, Chiefs, and Cowboys

The NFL’s 2025 Christmas triple-header is set.

Hours ahead of the release of the full 2025 season schedule, the league confirmed the three games that will take place on Christmas this year. Earlier in the week, the NFL released the Christmas night game, which will see Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs play host to Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos. That game will be streamed by Amazon Prime Video, with a kickoff time of 8:15 p.m. Eastern.

Now the other two games have been released, both of which will stream on Netflix. The first game will be a matchup of storied NFC East rivalries, as the Dallas Cowboys will take on the Washington Commanders at Northwest Stadium. That game will begin at 1:00 p.m. Eastern.

Then, in the late afternoon game, another chapter will be written in an NFC North rivalry, as the Minnesota Vikings will host the Detroit Lions in a game that kicks off at 4:30 p.m. Eastern.

This also means that the Lions, Chiefs, and Cowboys will all play on both Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Earlier in the day, Wednesday the league announced that the Cowboys will host the Chiefs in the 4:30 p.m. game on Thanksgiving, which will air on CBS.

While Detroit’s Thanksgiving Day opponent has yet to be announced, the Lions have played on the holiday every season dating back to 1934.
