It’s been an impressive four-decade run for stock primary packaging supplier ABA Packaging Corporation, headquartered in New York, and helmed by President Charles Marchese. Charles was an original owner, along with his father, Leo, when they started the company in 1984. Charles’s mom, Angela, was also involved in the company for many years. In conjunction with the 40th anniversary, Marchese announced that Liana Cook—a member of the third generation—has been promoted to Vice President. She formerly held the title of Director of Sales.
ABA Packaging originally built its foundation on cosmetic glass and closures, but offerings have expanded to include eco-friendly 100% aluminum bottles, jars, and tubes in a variety of colors and finishes.
“As we embark on our 41st year in the cosmetic packaging industry, ABA is dedicated to adapting to the evolving environmental landscape while maintaining our commitment to providing our customers with the industry’s utmost quality in products and service,” says Liana Cook.
From the newest upstart companies that need only a few hundred pieces to the major cosmetic manufacturers that need millions, ABA says they make the same caring effort to satisfy each brand’s every need. In addition to the items shown in their extensive catalog, they can also help customers design and produce their own custom packaging.
In the past few years, Marchese says, “We have made a concentrated effort to expand our stocking capabilities. Expanding our stock allows us to have more product on hand so that when you need it, it’s ready to go out the door to you. In addition, by increasing our stocking facilities we have an opportunity to buy in larger volumes and keep costs as low as possible, as well as minimize the impact of currency fluctuations.”
He adds, “We believe we have compiled the most comprehensive catalog of stock cosmetic jars, bottles, caps, pumps, and accessories in the industry. Most of these items are available directly from our warehouse.” Items in ABA’s inventory now include cosmetic glass bottles, jars, sampler vials, pumps, and caps of all sizes and colors, as well as 100% aluminum bottles.
