Aleta Executive chair by Jaime Hayon for Viccarbe

Dezeen Showroom: designer Jaime Hayon worked with Spanish furniture brand Viccarbe to extend the Aleta seating family with the launch of an executive chair.

The Aleta Executive chair features a backrest made of two different materials – one on the inside and one on the outside – creating a personalised and considered aesthetic that can be specified to complement any corporate interior.

At the same time, the chair is designed to support long periods of sitting, with a foam seat and upholstered moulded plywood backrest that adapts smoothly to the position of the back.

Viccarbe sees the product working perfectly as a guest chair in a presidential office or a seat in a contemporary board room, and says it showcases the strength of its collaboration with Hayon.

“Aleta Executive represents how we bond with the designers of each collection, expanding the families, maturing hand in hand to create new pieces based on new behaviours and solid creative concepts,” said Viccarbe.

“We may not be able to predict the future, yet we can invent it with the best.”

The Aleta Executive chair is available with either a five-star nylon or aluminium base with casters or a four star aluminium flat swivel base with a microtextured finish.
