Promotion: during Milan design week, Italian company Florim launched two exhibitions, spotlighting its latest ceramics collection.
The new collection, named SensiTerre collection, includes ceramic surfaces in six shades and was designed in collaboration with architects Matteo Thun and Benedetto Fasciana.

Florim’s collection was informed by Venere Bianca clay vases designed by Thun ten years ago, and aims to pay tribute to Italian craftsmanship while incorporating contemporary manufacturing processes.
During Milan design week, the collection was displayed at the design fair Salone del Mobile and within an installation as part of Brera Design District, which both followed a theme named The World of Clay.

Florim’s Six Rooms installation – designed by Matteo Thun & Partners – was showcased at Salone del Mobile and stylised to represent a Mediterranean home, which reflected the key elements of the SensiTerre collection: rich tones and raw, tactile surfaces.
The exhibition paid homage to the simplistic architecture, natural light and organic materials found in Mediterranean homes, with the Venere Bianca terracotta vases and SensiTerre ceramic screens located throughout.

“We wanted to create a universe for SensiTerre, one that could fully express its emotional and aesthetic potential, shaping spaces that envelop the senses,” said Thun.
The fuorisalone exhibition, also designed by Thun’s practice, was located in the Florim Flagship Store at Foro Buonaparte 14 and featured displays crafted from Florim surfaces and ceramic screens. The exhibition explored colours and forms and demonstrated the versatility of the pieces.

As part of the exhibition, visitors were invited to watch a video outlining the design process behind the collection, offering an insight into the brand and the designers’ creativity.
Both events also highlighted Florim’s collaboration with Italian bathroom firm Falper, with dedicated spaces for their bathroom brand Elitique’s products, including its wood and porcelain bathroom system.
