Sixth Dezeen Awards 2025 judges announcement

Architects Lina Ghotmeh and Ana Maria Duran Calisto have joined the judging panel for Dezeen Awards 2025, alongside interior designer Linda Boronkay and designer Jesse Lee.

Dezeen Awards, in partnership with Bentley, champions the world’s best architecture, interiors and design.

So far, the programme has received entries from over 70 different countries across the world, underlining its position as the world’s most popular architecture, interiors and design awards programme and ultimate benchmark for success. There’s still time to submit your projects. Enter by Thursday 29 May to avoid late entry fees.

Each year, winners are selected by a prestigious panel of industry leaders. Read on to find out more about who will be judging this year’s entries:

Architecture judge Lina Ghotmeh
Lebanese architect Ghotmeh is the founder of Lina Ghotmeh Architecture

Ghotmeh, who is the founder of architecture practice Lina Ghotmeh Architecture, will join the architecture panel for Dezeen Awards 2025 alongside Carlo Ratti and Sonali Rastogi.

Ghotmeh was recently appointed to renovate the British Museum’s Western Range galleries in London and announced as the designer of Qatar’s new permanent Venice pavilion.

Known for her sustainable and historically rooted designs, she has received multiple accolades, including the 2023 Great Arab Minds Award and the architecture project of the year award at Dezeen Awards 2021.

Interiors judge Linda Boronkay
Boronkay is the former design director at Soho House

Interior design and former Soho House design director Boronkay will judge this year’s interiors entries.

Boronkay is the founder of London-based design practice Linda Boronkay. Recognised for her emotionally intelligent approach to design, recent projects include Beihouse, a members’ club in Beirut that sits across from the site of the 2020 port explosion, on which she worked collaboratively with local artisans.

Sustainability judge Ana Maria Duran Calisto
Ecuadorian architect Calisto will join the sustainability judging panel for Dezeen Awards 2025

Ecuadorian urbanist Calisto will join fellow architect Anna Herringer on this year’s sustainability judging panel.

Calisto is the co-founder of eco-conscious firm Estudio A0 and has received multiple awards, including the Latin American Green Awards and the Amazonia Infrastructure Award.

A dedicated advocate for the intersection of culture, ecology and architecture, she was granted a Yale University Public Voices Fellowship in 2024.

Design judge Jesse Lee
Basic Space acquired Design Miami in 2023

Joining the design panel is Lee, founder of Basic Space, a curated digital marketplace that sells pre-owned and vintage products, as well as new and exclusive products in design, art and fashion.

Basic Space acquired Design Miami in 2023, a landmark annual fair that draws an international crowd of collectors, designers and curators to the southeastern US city for a 10-day celebration of design and commerce, for which Lee serves as chairman of the board.

Last year’s edition featured works by designer Mathieu Lehanneur, architect Javier Senosiain and artist A$AP Rocky in response to the theme of “blue sky thinking”.

Dezeen Awards 2025 is open for entries! Enter by 23:59 London time on Thursday 29 May to avoid late entry fees.

To start your entries, you’ll need to create an account or log in using our new entry platform Evessio. For individuals and companies with 10 employees or fewer, it costs £120 per category entry. For companies with more than 10 employees, it costs £240 per category entry.
