Moments of Wander textiles by Christiane Müller for HBF Textiles

Dezeen Showroom: nature-informed patterns and a rich depth of colour characterise HBF Textiles’ Moments of Wander collection of indoor-outdoor fabrics, created by designer Christiane Müller.

Müller’s fourth collection with HBF, Moments of Wander is based on scenery experienced by the designer during her travels and reflects the level of expertise she has reached with the textile creation process.

The Moments of Wander collection features nature-inspired fabrics

“Moments of Wander is all about my admiration for the diverse beauty of the world around us,” said Müller. “The collection of three fabrics is like taking a stroll through nature, zooming in and out to see the scenery through different lenses.”

“It brings the essence of the outdoors to fabrics that are tough enough to take on the elements yet feel right at home indoors.”

The fabrics include a tweed called Trails of Tweed

The collection includes a velvet called Fields of Velvet, created through close collaboration between Müller and the weaving mill to achieve an intricate double-loom weave with complex colourwork.

There is also a matte, tweed-like textile named Trails of Tweed, with one-of-a-kind multicoloured yarns meant to reflect the diversity of stones and pebbles on the earth, and a checked fabric called Seeds of Colour, which takes inspiration from the energising palettes of flower meadows.
