Scottie Scheffler leads Masters odds with best chance at 2025 Green Jacket

The Masters provides plenty of enticing options when the world’s best players compete at Augusta National this week.

A field of 96 players includes 18 former champions and many of the biggest stars from both the PGA Tour and LIV Golf.

Defending champion Scottie Scheffler remains the favorite in his quest for a third Green Jacket. However, plenty of the sport’s biggest stars enter 2025’s first major in solid form.

Here are the current odds for the 89th edition of the Masters Tournament, provided by FanDuel. It’s hard to go against Scheffler at the top of the odds board. Although the world’s No. 1 player has yet to win on the PGA Tour this season, Scheffler nearly broke through with top-three finishes at February’s Genesis Invitational (T3) and his most recent start, the Texas Children’s Houston Open (T2).

Could this finally be the year Rory McIlroy breaks through and completes the career grand slam? A major championship has eluded one of golf’s biggest stars since 2014. There’s reason to believe this is the year for McIlroy. Winning at Pebble Beach and THE PLAYERS Championship earlier this season, McIlroy owns two recent victories at historic venues against elite fields.

There’s a lot to like about Collin Morikawa at Augusta National this week. After a T3 finish at the event in 2024, Morikawa has three consecutive top tens in the Masters. The two-time major champion hasn’t earned a victory in 2025. But he’s the current PGA Tour leader in strokes gained: approach and birdie average so far this season.

Among second-tier options, Robert MacIntyre (+5500) offers an extra look. The talented lefty possesses two top-25 finishes in two career starts at Augusta (T23 in 2022, T12 in 2021) and seems to have an eye for the course. MacIntyre’s solid recent form, with four top-11 finishes in his last five worldwide starts, is a promising development entering the week.

If you want to ride a horse for the course, Cameron Smith (+6000) is worth looking into. The Aussie owns five career top-ten finishes at Augusta giving the LIV star one of the more consistent track records among any player in the field.
