Solheim Cup Friday morning pairings, tee times revealed at Opening Ceremony

Team USA and Team Europe have their first-round pairings for Friday morning’s Foursomes at the 2024 Solheim Cup.

There will be four matches in the morning at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia.

Stacy Lewis and Suzann Pettersen announced who they put together during the Opening Ceremony on Thursday afternoon and showed off the strategy they chose to take.

Team Europe changed their alternate shot pairings, while Team USA kept some of the most dynamic duos together.

Friday morning foursome pairings at Solheim Cup

7:05 a.m. ET: Esther Henseleit/ Charley Hull vs. Nelly Korda/ Allisen Corpuz

7:17 a.m. ET: Celine Boutier/ Albane Valenzuela vs. Rose Zhang/Lauren Coughlin

7:29 a.m. ET: Emily Pedersen/Maja Stark vs. Ally Ewing/ Jennifer Kupcho

7:41 a.m. ET: Linn Grant/ Carlota Ciganda vs. Lilia Vu/ Sarah Schmelzel

World No. 1 Nelly Korda will pair with Allisen Corpuz and take on the social media favorite Charley Hull and her partner Esther Henseleit.

Korda and Corpuz went 2-0 last year in foursomes.

Celine Boutier will help Albane Valenzuela, one of the four rookies in this year’s event. American Sarah Schmezel will play with Lilia Vu to pair another first-timer with a lady with recent experience. Rose Zhang will make her second Solheim Cup start but will play alongside rookie Lauren Coughlin.

Team USA won all four matches last year in the morning foursomes session. It was the first time they made that happen. The Europeans only led four holes the entire time that morning.

Last year ended in a tie, which means Team Europe retained the Solheim Cup since they won it in 2021.

Lexi Thompson and Megan Khang, who kicked off the foursomes on Friday in Spain, will sit out this session. Alison Lee and Andrea Lee will also sit out for the Americans. As for Team Europe, Anna Nordqvist, Madelene Sagstrom, Georgia Hall and Leona Maguire will not participate in foursomes on Friday morning.
