Meta today revealed its latest mixed-and-virtual reality headset, the Meta Quest 3S, at today’s Connect event. The new device is a more-affordable version of the Quest 3, with a starting price of $299 for the 128 GB model. According to Meta, the Quest 3S is intended to be a point of access for users who aren’t familiar with mixed reality as well as those seeking a cheaper Quest 3 option. The Quest 3S launches on October 15, with pre-orders now open.
In a nod to VR gamers, Meta announced that the Quest 3S would be compatible with the full Quest library of games and apps. During the event, Meta revealed details about several VR games that are coming to Quest, including the 3S headset. Here are several of the games and experiences shown (all launch on the Quest 3 and 3S unless otherwise indicated):
- Alien: Rogue Incursion, a horror title launching on December 19
- Alo Moves XR, an XR yoga and Pilates title launching on October 10
- Arizona Sunshine Remake, a remake of the zombie-slaying FPS launching October 17
- Dimensional Double Shift, a job sim currently without a launch date
- Dumb Ways: Free for All, a comedy co-op title launching November 7

- Triangle Strategy, a VR adaptation of Square Enix’s strategy RPG launching “later this year”
In addition to the headset, Meta also revealed that both the new Quest 3S and the Quest 3 would come bundled with upcoming VR title Batman: Arkham Shadow. The game launches on October 22, a few days after the 3S itself, but Meta says that the players who purchase the headsets will have access to the game when it launches. This deal is available for headsets in the Quest 3 family through April 2025.
As part of the bundle, users also have access to three months of Meta Quest+, Meta’s VR subscription service. Quest+’s games library launched earlier this year, with a revolving catalog of titles. These include Walkabout Mini Golf and Demeo, among others. Subscribers also receive two “hand-picked” titles to add to their library every month for as long as they are Quest+ subscribers.
