Dezeen Awards offers “unparalleled visibility”

Studio Mecanoo founder Houbine believes that Dezeen Awards gives a distinct chance to entrants to exhibit their projects on a global scale.

“Entering Dezeen Awards provides architects and designers with a unique platform to showcase their innovative projects on an international stage,” said Houben.

“With its esteemed panel of judges and wide-reaching audience, Dezeen Awards offers unparalleled visibility and recognition within the design industry, opening doors to new opportunities and collaborations.”

Designer Lee Broom will be judging the design categories alongside Toogood this year. For him, awards are “crucial for industry professionals”.

“Awards give companies visibility, which is key for success and longevity in the design industry,” explained Broom. “They provide unparalleled networking opportunities and establish distinguished brand credibility within the design landscape.”

Winning “validated the direction I was taking”

English product designer Morrison has won several accolades throughout his career and considers these wins an affirmation of his work.

“My door handle won an award in 1991,” said Morrison. “I was very happy about it as it validated the direction I was taking with my designs.”

Artist Pilar Zeta also believes “winning or being shortlisted for a Dezeen Award validates creativity and innovation, enhancing one’s reputation within the design world.”

Meanwhile, graphic designer Ian Cartlidge said that being acknowledged by your peers is truly gratifying.

“It’s rewarding to be recognised by your peers,” Cartilage told Dezeen. “We all like being recognised by others in the design industry whom we admire!
